Throughout the year, REEC hosts events where members, invited guests and developing leaders gather to share information, deal updates, and new business and partnership opportunities in a variety of both in-person and virtual forums.
Through the years, the Real Estate Executive Council has developed initiatives into programs that seek to cultivate fellowship, education and growth among REEC members.
Founded in 2017, REEX is creating a pipeline of talent into the CRE industry, starting by introducing high school students to the industry in a college environment and exposing them to REEC members and others successful executives who serve as role models for the talent.
In support of talent seeking to enter the commercial real estate industry, since 2016 REEC has endowed The Alan R. Braxton Memorial Fellowship at Wharton School for a real estate fellow/scholar and has provided internships for the fellows. In addition, REEC plans to serve as a conduit for students to get information on other scholarships supporting the pursuit of a CRE career.
Mentorship: A mobile “app” based, structured program providing professionals at all levels in the CRE industry access to mentors to support and guide them on their path through the industry at all levels as well as access to the experiences and learnings of REEC members as mentors.
Access to Capital & Credit Initiative: An initiative to introduce REEC members to sources of capital, with the objectives of clarifying the competencies and requirements for programmatic access to the capital and to develop relationships with the providers of capital and credit.
Board Preparedness Initiative:
An initiative that prepares REEC members for service on Boards of public and private entities through a series of in-person and virtual meetings and seminars. REEC leverages relationships with senior executives throughout the CRE industry as well as industry specialists (NACD, EY, AABLI, Diligent and KPMG) to execute these sessions.
